Amelia Island has been named one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler, securing the No. 9 spot in the publication’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. This recognition marks over 15 years that Amelia Island has been featured on this list, and it is currently the only Florida island to receive such an honor.

The Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa was ranked fourth and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island ninth among the Best Resorts in Florida, further highlighting the island’s reputation for quality hospitality.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

More than 575,000 readers participated in this year’s survey for Condé Nast Traveler’s awards program. The full list of winners can be found at CNTraveler.com and will also appear in the magazine’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, historic districts, resorts with spas and golf courses, as well as its downtown area of shops and restaurants.
