Film Florida, in collaboration with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale, is organizing an after-hours tour and networking event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event will include a private tour of the museum, an information session, and opportunities for filmmakers and creators to connect.
MAD Arts serves as a museum and community hub focused on art and technology. It features interactive exhibits, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections. The venue aims to showcase developments at the intersection of art and technology.
Attendees will receive a presentation from Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. The evening will also include refreshments.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at MAD Arts located at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach.
According to the organizers: “Join us for a private tour of the museum and a brief presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman, followed by drinks, light bites, and networking.”
WIFT members can attend free of charge while guests are required to pay a $10 fee.
