Florida insurance leaders and national experts will gather at the 18th Annual Florida Chamber Insurance Summit to discuss ongoing challenges and recent progress in the state’s insurance market. The summit, organized by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, comes at a time when new insurers are entering the market, rates are declining, and litigation costs have been reduced. However, industry stakeholders note that Florida remains a high-risk environment for insurers.

The two-day event is scheduled for December 4-5, 2025, at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes in Orlando. It will bring together C-suite executives, industry professionals, regulators, and lawmakers to explore strategies aimed at stabilizing and growing Florida’s insurance sector.

Key topics on the agenda include automobile insurance, reinsurance and risk transfer, medical malpractice coverage, artificial intelligence applications in insurance, fraud prevention measures, and resilience innovations.

Speakers at the summit will include Michael Yaworsky from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation; Tim Cerio of Citizens Property Insurance Corporation; Gina Wilson from the Florida Hurricane Fund; Jason Rudis of Reinsurance Association of America; Rob Henderson from Meenan Law Firm; Ashley Kalifeh with Capital City Consulting; William Large from the Florida Justice Reform Institute; John Huff with Association of Bermuda Insurers & Reinsurers; Steve Weinstein from Mangrove Insurance; among others.

“Over the last two and a half years, we’ve seen historic insurance reforms begin to take root and benefit consumers, but we’re not done yet,” said Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “The Insurance Summit is where Florida’s leaders come together to discuss the future of Florida’s insurance market, protecting consumers, and making Florida the best place to live, work, learn, and do business.”

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday with sessions designed for networking among business leaders and policy makers. For more information about registration or sponsorship opportunities for this year’s summit visit flchamber.com/insurance.
