The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) joined with the Alliance for Retired Americans for the annual pension symposium. The event was led by Robert Roach, Jr., a retired IAM General Secretary-Treasurer. Participants highlighted concerns about political efforts that could affect Social Security and retirement plans, which support many older Americans, including members of the IAM.

The symposium encouraged those interested in supporting retirement plan protections to visit RetiredAmericans.org.
