Panama City Beach announced on Apr. 14 a range of unique activities and experiences available for visitors seeking adventure, relaxation, and memorable moments along its 27 miles of white sand beaches.

The announcement outlines several ways travelers can enjoy the area, from dolphin tours to local festivals. These offerings aim to appeal to families, couples, and solo travelers looking for more than just a traditional beach getaway.

Among the highlighted activities are guided dolphin tours where participants can observe bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat. Visitors can also experience panoramic views of Panama City Beach by riding the nearly 200-foot-tall PCB Wheel at Pier Park or test their skills on an 18-hole mini golf course and SkyTrail ropes course nearby. The release notes that after these attractions, guests may enjoy food and drinks at SkyWheel’s Snack Shack.

For those interested in evening gatherings, local outfitters such as Surf N Sun Recreation and Light Me Up Beach Bonfires offer customizable bonfire packages on the beach with amenities like s’mores kits and tiki torches. Helicopter excursions provided by Panhandle Helicopter allow guests to view landmarks including Shell Island from above with packages tailored for different comfort levels.

Shell Island itself is described as an undeveloped seven-mile barrier island accessible via shuttle or watercraft rental, offering opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, shelling, and fishing. Throughout the year Panama City Beach hosts events such as Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest in October; holiday celebrations including tree lightings; Mardi Gras parades; New Year’s Eve festivities featuring an 800-pound beach ball drop; and UNwineD—a festival focused on craft beverages paired with live music.

The release concludes that whether exploring local wildlife or participating in community events “every day is anything but ordinary” in Panama City Beach.
