The Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest will take place in Panama City Beach from October 11 to 13, 2024. The event aims to celebrate the history of pirates in the Gulf of Mexico, focusing on the story of Dominique Youx and his group of buccaneers through staged battles and storytelling.

Attendees can participate in both online and in-person activities. These include a digital pirate costume contest, treasure hunts, parades, live music, fireworks, Renaissance-themed vendors, and other activities. Events are scheduled throughout the three days.

The festival begins on Friday, October 11, with a Pirate Breakfast Experience at 8:00 a.m., followed by various performances and activities such as Captain Davy & The Crossbones, live mermaid exhibits, and a kids’ parade by the Krewe of Dominique Youx. The day ends with a ghost pirate fire performance.

Saturday’s schedule starts again with the Pirate Breakfast Experience and features acts such as the Royal Court Welcoming, Knights at the Beach Tournament, and main parades. Fireworks are set for 8:00 p.m.

Sunday’s events begin at noon and continue with knight training, fight shows, music, and the festival’s closing ceremonies.

The organizers encourage participation: “We hope you can join us, matey!”

The festival offers a range of entertainment options suitable for families and pirate enthusiasts. Both virtual and physical components are designed to engage the community and visitors.
